Welcome to Koh Phangan

Koh Phanghan is a curious island – during most of the month, it’s mild-mannered, not too crowded, and very cheap. All the watersports available on other islands are here as well – but there is no rushing about to participate. If you want to, fine – but plenty of people spend their time lounging on the large white sand beaches, wading out to the reefs with snorkel goggles, or enjoy a sunset sipping something refreshing and dining at the fresh (very fresh) catch of the day.

Then comes the full moon,Fullmoon Party when the bottom segment of the island turns into a free-love-sex-drugs bachannalian bliss
search. The families flee, and young fashionable tourists (and locals alike) descend from all the other islands to let off some steam and go

wild – usually for days, but at least all night.

So depending on what you like, Koh Phanghan can be the perfect spot or exactly the place to avoid. Make sure you plan your trip with that in mind.

Full Moon Party on Koh Phangan

Koh Phangan is a very special place, there are few places in this world where you can live out your desert island dreams of palm trees and white sand beaches, and still have a blinding night out at a rocking party every month. With the global notoriety that the Full Moon Party has gained as being one of the biggest and best beach bashes in the world, we get more than our fair share of hedonists gracing our shores. Each year the scene here grows with the ever-increasing number of party faithful that return, bringing their mates and spreading the vibe.

There are about 10,000-20,000 people every month at this Koh Phangan beach party. It is known as the Fullmoon Party. International and Thai DJ's are making the crowd go wild. Paint yourself in UV colors and let your body lose control. The DJ's play all kinds of music; techno, trance, goa, drum n' bass, dub, reggae, "commercial hits", house etc on about 15 soundsystems along Haad Rin beach. There are also many small tables on the beach where you can sit down with your friends or meet new ones from all parts of the globe. You can order drinks and food from the restaurants and the bars next to the Had Rin Nok beach.

As the evening progresses the beach explodes into a dancing Frenzy as different m.c 's take their furn on the decks. There is something for everyone here no - one is disappointed. Jungglers and fire-eaters entertain the crowds as the night goes on and with the brilliant impromptu firework display, the party atmosphere is complete. After a few hours it could br time to chill out for a while, maybe grab a drink or a bite to eat form one of many beach traders and wade out or sit down in the warm surf of the Gulf of Thailand , pure heaven.

Revived and Relaxed it 's time to return to the main beach and get blown into another dancing dimention, While all around people are doing same, there are no barriers here, no inhibition, just people enjoying themselves with one unified intention, to rejoice in the magio that is the paradise of FULL MOON PARTY !!!!!!!!!!
